Chairman & Managing Director, Piyush Group of Companies
Founder, ambitious and visionary Chairman & Managing Director of Piyush Group of Companies. He is an Electrical Engineering graduate from the renowned Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (Maharashtra), India. After graduating in 1982, he started his career by securing a job in the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). Leaving that role after a few months, he began taking up small civil contracts in the Aurangabad region and acquired vast experience of civil projects during this tenure.
In 1986 he ventured Piyush Enterprises, a partnership firm. When Piyush Enterprises started working on irrigation projects, very few companies were operating in the Marathwada region in this sector — yet, even with limited experienced resources, he successfully completed the projects in hand and kept his commitments. With a strong rapport in the Irrigation & Water Resources Department of Maharashtra, he gradually moved to well-sized projects including pump houses, barrages, earthen dams, bridges, canals, railway over-bridges and railway lines.
He has achieved a benchmark by accomplishing 3 of the 11 barrages built on the major Godavari river in Maharashtra, with 2 more in progress. Considering project requirements, he also initiated Piyush Structural Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (mechanical and fabrication work) and Piyush Realtor Pvt. Ltd. (land acquisition and trading). He is now ably supported by his well-educated son, Mr. Piyush Panhale, who completed his M.S. in Construction Management from the USA.
